Hotmail, MSN, Live Email Hacked

Recently, more than 10,000 email accounts was hacked and published over internet. Microsoft is locking all these email accounts and points the real email owner to submit recovery form in order to restore email access. To avoid getting scammed, Microsoft says customers should change their password every 90 days and not open unsolicited email attachments and links from both known and unknown sources/senders.

Latest Credit Card Scam

Dear All,

Better be safe than sorry. Nowadays with such bad economy, those bustard can use their creative and genius mind to think of whatever way to fool us up and took everything away.. for those who have family burden and using credit card or whatsoever, please be extra careful.

Subject: Latest Financial Scam


I was almost been duped to the latest scam. They are no longer using sms. But through series of routine communications when you deal with phone banking.You might thought that how stupid I am to fall for such scam but not until you heard their convincing conversations, then you'll no. Here, I am sharing you their modus operandi.

1.You'll received an automated call reminding you about your credit card late payment.They will end the reminder with Press 0 for our customer service, 1 for others.(voice machine system. Sounds familiar?)

2.Once you press 0 for inquiry, a telephone assistant will answer it.

3.They will confirm that your name exist in their system and a cardholder. They will give you the detail when was the card was applied, date and venue. And the application was approved base don your copies of IC and 3 months payslip. (i believes most of us has handed over many times of our copies of payslip and ic to insurance agencies or brokers.)

4.the telephonist will then advice you to contact and lodge a report the Bank Negara. He is helpful that he also provide you with the Bank Negara fraud department direct line.The number is 03-86590241.

5.After feeling not so much amiss about the conversation with the telephonist. You feel the urgency to lodge a report at the Bank Negara.

6. Once you called the number, another guy will answer it a nice greeting. "Bank Negara Fraud Department, may i assist you?"

7.The 'officer' will then ask your name and IC and your contact no for him to contact you in 5 minutes, while he run your name in the system.

8. 5 minutes later, the 'officer' will call you. He'll tell you that the conversation is recorded and you need to tell the chronology of your report.

9. The officer will then tell you : the investigation will take 3 days to be completed. In the meantime, Bank Negara will need to monitor your active bank accounts i.e: credit cards, saving.

10. They are also offered some kind of insurance to protect your money. In case within 3 days of the investigation, there is an amount of money missing from your account, bank negara will reimburse.

11. In order for them to monitor, they need to have all the 16 digit numbers on the cards.

12. The 'officer' will tell you that the number in the magnetic chip in your credit card will be change. However, they can't do it for your ATM card. Thus, their technical guy will contact you for a simple direction to make the changes.

13.A lady will call in about 10 minutes claim from the technical team. The verification of the complaint lodged take place. (same like phone banking).

14. The lady will then asked you how long for you to get to the nearest ATM machine for them to call back and give instruction.

15. They will call you back at the stipulated time and will give you a special instruction to change the magnetic number. HOWEVER, THE NEW 16 DIGIT NUMBER IS THE NUMBER IN WHICH ALL YOUR MONEY WILL BE TRANSFERRED TO.

I was very lucky that I was earlier to arrived at the ATM machine. When i tried to call them back, it's either call reject or line is busy.. My first instinct is to call my friend who works in the Bank Negara to check the number given (03-86590241) and called the AMBANK.

Surprisingly, the number given does not belongs to Bank Negara (as it's always start with 2) and the credit card does not exist in Ambank. When I got to know that, I started calling my banks and have all my cards blocked and replace with a new one.

According to the officer in CIMB Bank, they are familiar with the sms scam but this case is the latest in financial scam. Hope you guys spread the words around!

Bagaimana Membuang Spyware Antivirus 360

Hari ini, rasanya internet seperti sudah pulih semula akibat kerosakan sirkit sistem kabel dasar laut yang menghubungkan Malaysia dan Eropah. Dapatlah saya menaip sedikit berkenaan spyware yang baru saya terima iaitu - Antivirus 360 (teringat pula rancangan 360 di TV3..).


Sebelum ini mungkin anda pernah dengar atau terkena kemasukan Antivirus 2009, Microsoft Antivirus, Vista Antivirus 2008, Windows Antivirus dan seumpamanya.. Sedangkan antivirus sebegitu tidak pernah wujud pun! Paparan pop-up Antivirus 360 pun hampir sama sahaja, cuma nama antivirus sahaja yang bertukar.

Inilah teknik baru spyware selain daripada yang saya terangkan sebelum ini, jikalau dulu spyware biasanya ingin mendapatkan maklumat password/kad kredit/senarai email/aktiviti anda, tetapi spyware ini akan mengeluarkan pop-up seolah-olah anda pernah install Antivirus 360 ini! (Sedangkan anda tidak pernah install pun antivirus ini..).

Anda akan menerima amaran seperti di bawah, seolah-olah anda telah menerima virus, spyware dan adware yang boleh merosakkan komputer anda serta-merta. Sudah tentulah pengguna risau dan klik pada button OK untuk install perisian Antivirus 360 tersebut. Tambahan pula melihat senarai virus yang ditunjukkan, pasti akan tambah merisaukan pengguna.


Walaupun anda tidak klik pada OK pun, anda terus akan dibawa ke paparan seterusnya untuk install Antivirus 360. (Sebenarnya saya hanya klik pada scroll bar paparan di atas sahaja!).

Apa pun tindakan kita, sebenarnya spyware tersebut telah pun selamat masuk ke dalam komputer. Apa rasionalnya spyware ni? hehe..mudah jer.. Untuk membuang virus-virus seperti yang dinyatakan oleh Antivirus 360 ini, anda perlu membeli produk tersebut keseluruhannya. Setelah anda bayar, duit tersebut akan dihantar ke akaun paypal pembuat spyware ini. :(


Kaedah membuang spyware ini:

Sebelum ini saya sering menggunakan Spybot, tapi malangnya spybot tidak dapat mengesan spyware ini. Mungkin juga Spybot tidak cukup donation untuk membangunkan lagi updatenya..entahlah...Kali ini saya menggunakan anti-spyware Malwarebytes' Anti Malware atau Antivirus-360-remover.

1. Sekiranya anda ingin menggunakan remover, anda boleh dapatkan di sini. Sekiranya anda ingin menggunakan Malwarebytes' Anti Malware, anda boleh dapatkannya di sini. Saya lebih sarankan anda menggunakan Malwarebytes' Anti Malware kerana ia akan membuang spyware lain juga, contohnya spyware Antivirus 2008.

2. Anda boleh analisis perisian Malwarebytes' Anti Malware yang anda telah download adalah bebas dari virus dengan upload file tersebut ke virustotal.com . Anda juga boleh pastikan apa-apa files lain juga bebas dari sebarang virus dengan membuat pemeriksaan files tersebut di virustotal.com . Virustotal.com akan memeriksa file tersebut bebas dari sebarang virus dengan dengan melakukan imbasan terhadap 38 jenis antivirus. Saya dapati perisian Malwarebytes' Anti Malware adalah bebas dari sebarang virus.

3. Install dan update perisian Malwarebytes' Anti Malware tadi.

4. Scan komputer menggunakan Malwarebytes' Anti Malware. Saya dapati laptop saya telah dijangkiti spyware Trojan.Agent dan Hijack.StartMenu.


5. Klik pada "Remove Selected" untuk membuang kesemua spyware tersebut.

Screenshot Maybank2u Phishing!

Rasanya ini adalah kali ke-3 saya menerima email phishing Maybank2u. Paparan yang saya tunjukkan ini ialah dari domain apsimages.com pula. Kali ini saya cuba login tipu untuk lihat contoh paparan-paparan phishing seterusnya.

1. Nampak kan paparan login pertamanya? 100% sama seperti halaman login maybank2u. Yang berbeza hanyalah alamat/domainnya sahaja.

2. Setelah login dengan id dan password tipu, saya terus ke paparan di atas. Ketika ini maklumat login saya telah selamat diterima dan disimpan oleh server phishing. Kemudian, saya masukkan apa sahaja no di dalam ruangan TAC tersebut.


3. Sekarang pergi ke halaman ... Wow!! Successful..

Sekiranya anda menerima email phishing maybank2u seperti ini. Anda boleh membuat aduan di sini.

Pada 30 November, nampaknya Maybank2u telah menukar ke login page yang baru seperti di bawah ni..

Saya tidaklah begitu mahir dalam kerja-kerja programmer. Cuma terfikir adakah cara supaya sesiapapun tidak boleh meniru login page maybank2u. No right click!, No save as...! . Lebih bagus kalau ada indentiti khas untuk login page maybank2u ni macam wang kertas.. Maksudnya ada gambar/logo/warna yang tidak mudah ditiru..
Sebab bukan susah sangat pun nak buat phishing page. Contohnya cara phishing boleh lihat di sini.

Maybank2u Phishing!

Menurut wikipedia, phishing bermaksud perbuatan jenayah dengan cara percubaan membuat penipuan/penyamaran bagi tujuan mendapatkan maklumat sulit contohnya username, password dan maklumat kad kredit secara online. Lebih kurang macam memancinglah, tetapi memancing maklumat peribadi dari seseorang yang membuat transaksi online.
