Open Source - CD Pun Percuma?

Seperti yang kita semua biasa dengar - open source percuma! Tetapi apa yang percuma? Yang percuma ialah lesennya. Bermaksud source codenya adalah percuma. Contohnya kita boleh ambil source code linux di internet dan kita boleh ubahnya mengikut yang kita mahu (ehem..kalau expert C Programming lah..).

Eh..nanti dulu, kita masih keluar modal juga untuk burn ISO Linux kan? Takdelah semua percuma pun.

Mudahnya Ubuntu!

Kalau anda tidak biasa dengan open source, saya sarankan supaya anda berjinak-jinak dengan Ubuntu. Sepanjang pengalaman saya (yang tidak seberapa) dengan open source ni, inilah open source yang paling senang digunakan.

Bayangkan apabila install ubuntu server, lebih mudah dari install windows. Kemudian jika hendak install server LAMP (Web Server - Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) hanya dengan klik pada menu "LAMP" semasa installation. Kemudian, dah siap satu web server!!! mudahnya..

Tapi janganlah anda belajar setakat ini sahaja kerana masih banyak yang perlu dipelajari. Saya yakin sekiranya anda dah belajar sesuatu yang baru, tentu rasa seronok. Tak percaya? Cubalah...
